The Learning Blueprint | Where Learning Science Meets Classroom Impact

The Learning Blueprint for Teachers is an award-winning PD program that translates the most important ideas from the Science of Learning into practical classroom strategies. Developed by leading cognitive neuroscientist Dr Jared Cooney Horvath in collaboration with Monash University (ranked #35 globally by U.S. News & World Report), teachers gain a deep understanding of how—and why—learning actually works.

Delivered in four modular units, The Learning Blueprint drives measurable gains in student outcomes, teacher engagement, and collective efficacy. Trusted by 500+ schools and 10,000+ teachers worldwide.

Why the Science of Learning?

The Science of Learning doesn’t replace teachers or prescribe ‘how to teach.’ Instead, it reveals how and why learning works the way it does. With that understanding, teachers become more confident and effective—they can better interpret classroom behaviors, understand why strategies succeed or fail, and adapt approaches to fit their unique context. In short, it empowers teachers with professional agency—like the difference between a line cook simply following a recipe and a master chef creating their own.

How it Works

The Learning Blueprint is delivered through 4 standalone modules (7.5 learning hours each). Every module is broken into five 75-minute sessions that combine evidence-based learning with practical application.
Each session includes:

  • Interactive video lessons led by Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath
  • Reflection prompts and guided peer discussions
  • Recognition quizzes and spaced reviews to reinforce learning
  • Premade classroom application exercises (Micro-Projects)
  • A comprehensive workbook including key definitions, notes and flashcards
  • Optional extension activities for deeper exploration

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate and a digital Pearson badge—signaling expertise and professional credibility.

Application—Where Theory Meets Practice

In each module, teachers will be asked to complete at least one Micro-Project.
Rather than testing content knowledge, Micro-Projects provide a low-stakes opportunity for teachers to test, assess, document and share relevant classroom strategies.
Each Micro-Project is:

  • Targeted | Builds one specific skill at a time
  • Practical | Fits seamlessly into existing lessons without disruption
  • Measurable | Provides clear indicators of what is (and isn’t) working

This practical, easy-to-use application tool is integral to contextualizing new knowledge and changing teacher practice.
