Developing language acquisition skills
Language skills, the most common developmental disorder, is comprised of the child’s ability to communicate but also understand social cues and gestures. There are many influences upton a child's ability to communicate. Difficulties may require additional support and practice to remediate.
Our assessments can help a wide range of issues, including:
- Receptive language disorder: Receptive language delays occur when a chid has difficulty understanding the meaning of words and more complex language.
- Expressive language disorder: Expressive language delays occur when a child has difficulty expressing themselves using vocabulary and correct grammar.
- Speech production: Speech difficulties can effect a child's ability to articulate and create the appropriate speech sounds to make themselves understood by others.
